Main Duties and Responsibilities
As a Junior Production Planner, your main responsibilities and duties will include:
- Assist in production schedule creation, with ownership of production control of one or more areas of the facility e.g. washer production.
- Responsible for ‘Works order’ creation for one of more areas of the facility.
- Progress chase dates with production and update make schedules with accurate production
date estimates, help to communicate this to the wider team including sales and marketing. - Monitor component / product supply flow and identify any shortages or bottlenecks.
- Assist in identifying problems relating to Work in Progress.
- Monitor machine schedules with the view to complete > 95% schedule adherence.
- Delivery Continuous Improvement Activity to drive efficiency.
- Other production control related activities as directed by the Production Control Manager and Production Control Planner.
Other Duties:
Adherence to the Company’s Health and Safety policy at all times and operate and promote the development of quality standards and procedures taking ownership of tasks and to seek new
improved ways of doing things.
A degree of flexibility is required, and the job holder may be required to perform work not specifically referred to above and which will be appropriate to the level of the role. All duties must be carried out in compliance with company Quality System, Health and Safety Policies and regulations set out in the Medical Device Directive.
