Main Duties and Responsibilities
As a Continuous Improvement Practitioner, your main responsibilities and duties will include:
- Coordinate and support continuous improvement implementation and initiatives across all departments.
- Lead and implement CI improvement cycles and projects to improve operational efficiency, reduce waste, and enhance customer satisfaction.
- Track and report on CI project metrics, including cost savings, ROI, productivity, and quality improvements.
- Coach and mentor staff at all levels to build CI capability across all departments. Through use of continuous improvement frameworks / A3 thinking.
- Facilitate workshops and training sessions on CI tools and techniques such as Kaizen events, value stream mapping, root cause analysis, and problem-solving workshops.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify improvement opportunities.
- Work with the Operations Team to develop Visual Management Systems and Visual Factories to help communicate and drive engagement in Operational Performance and Improvement.
- Own KPI dashboards and responsible for data analysis to feed into standard business process meetings, such as downtime reviews etc.
- Maintain CI project documentation and progress reports.
- Assist in standardizing best practices and process documentation.
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement and innovation throughout the organization.
- Support strategic planning and goal setting, aligned with CI objectives.

- Measurable improvements in efficiency, cost reductions, and quality enhancement.
- Positive stakeholder feedback and engagement.
- Increased employee participation and engagement in continuous improvement activities.
- Tangible improvement to the CI culture and usage of CI tools and methodology across Welland.
Other Duties:
- Adherence to the Company’s Health and Safety policy at all times and operate and promote the development of quality standards and procedures taking ownership of tasks and to seek new
improved ways of doing things. - A degree of flexibility is required, and the job holder may be required to perform work not specifically referred to above and which will be appropriate to the level of the role. All duties must be carried out in compliance with company Quality System, Health and Safety Policies and regulations set out in the Medical Device Directive.
