Management Team

  • Samantha Jackson

    Managing Director

I have the privilege of leading this growing British manufacturing company staffed by a creative and dedicated team whose work makes a real difference to ostomates around the world.

I joined Welland Medical in 2007 as Product Manager for our range of ostomy pouches and accessories. I subsequently took on the role of Sales and Marketing Manager in 2010, Sales and Marketing Director in 2015, and Managing Director in 2020. During this time the company grew more than threefold in production and size, while I became a CMI Chartered Manager, and earned my MBA and an IoD Diploma in Company Direction.

In my role as MD, I oversee the overall company strategy that enables our excellent teams to design and manufacture world-class stoma care products and accessories, develop business in new and existing markets, support an international network of distributors, and develop innovative products and accessories.

All of this is done by working closely with stoma care professionals, distributors, patients and key opinion leaders in stoma care, and would be impossible without the world-class team we have here at Welland Medical.

  • Sarah Duckworth

    Operations and Engineering Director

Sarah joined Welland with a wealth of knowledge and experience behind her. We caught up with her to discuss her new venture and time at Welland.

“I joined Welland Medical in 2020 as Head of Engineering and have been focused on developing and implementing a technology strategy, aimed at improving efficiency and capability of our production equipment. At the start of 2022 I was invited to join the board as Operations and Engineering Director.

With over 18 years of experience in the medical device industry, predominantly in Engineering and Operations, I’m passionate about driving performance to deliver excellent quality and innovation to our customers. I will be focused on operational effectiveness and continue to build and develop our continuous improvement culture.

My passion for improvement also drives my hobbies at home, including a newfound enthusiasm for restoring and rehoming vintage folding campers. I also love spending time outdoors, skiing in the winter and paddleboarding around the English coast through the summer months.

I feel very privileged to use my skills and knowledge to support development and delivery of stoma care products, and the opportunity to have a positive impact on the lives of so many customers.”
