At Welland, we believe in building success through people, and sharing people’s stories, allows us to further understand the importance of making products that best support those living with a stoma.

Earlier this year, we interviewed Kav Ellison, a member of Team Colostomy UK’s rugby team, about his stoma story. During the interview, Kav shared his symptoms of ulcerative colitis, his journey to being diagnosed, through to his surgery to form an ileostomy and life living with a stoma.

Speaking honestly about his stoma journey, Kav spoke about ‘smashing the stoma stigma’ and raising awareness of invisible illnesses. Kav also discussed the importance of quality in stoma care products and how his passion for rugby lead him to join the Team Colostomy UK team.
