What it Means for our Products

Receiving the Skin Health Alliance accreditation means that our products have undergone an independent rigorous review by a panel of dermatologists. Our Products

Honey is a natural remedy used in wound care for thousands of years, and its support for healing the skin is clinically proven. Research has shown that active Manuka honey has additional characteristics that promote healthy skin through its key characteristic properties, which is one of the reasons it plays a key role in our innovative hydrocolloid.

Our dermatologically accredited Manuka honey infused hydrocolloid has been developed based on clinical studies and extensive research, which showcases its positive impact on peristomal skin. Peristomal skin being the area of skin that surrounds a stoma, can often be more sensitive and delicate than other skin on your body. The integration of natural food-grade ingredients with our hydrocolloid blend, without tackifiers and oils such as acrylates, or glycerine, has been reported by users to offer comfort and peace of mind during wear time. With fewer ingredients lowering the risk of allergies and irritation and ensuring comfort for our users.

In 2019, a study carried out by White and Evans, found that 94% of patients experienced noticeable improvements in their peristomal skin within seven days of using a stoma pouch that contains Manuka honey. Patients did also report enhanced confidence, comfort, and a greater sense of security when using the product.
