To provide full support to the Business Development Managers and Head of Sales and Marketing assist in the management and development of the Welland export distributor network in line with corporate sales and profit targets, expenditure budget and strategy.

Working directly with all areas of the business the Project Engineer will design engineering solutions, manage projects under their control (including associated budgets) and create reports as required. Typical projects include development of manufacturing equipment / processes in support of new product development, equipment validation, specification of capital equipment and upgrades to existing processes / equipment. This role is a fundamental part of a department that supports the development of Welland manufacturing processes so effective communication, an aptitude for solving challenging problems and the ability to think beyond existing practices are all key elements to success.

To work closely with both the Marketing, R&D and Sales teams, getting involved in all stages of the product life cycle (from concept to discontinuation) for products manufactured both in-house and bought-outs in order to guide on the management of Welland’s pouch and accessory product portfolio in line with corporate objectives and sales and marketing plans.

The main purpose of the role is to accurately record and pack dispatch boxes for our customers. To maintain a clean and tidy workstation and to help with associated stores, 5S and Lean activities. To communicate and support stores team effectively.
