Peter McLean, International Sales Manager, kept Bee-yonce company on the latest sales support trip to Australia and attended the Australian Association of Stomal Therapy Nurses (AASTN) Conference.

The AASTN conference kicked off with our Australian distributor, Omnigon’s breakfast session “Healthy guts, healthy mind”, attended by about 150 delegates and three educational talks were given. The speakers were Ben Borsht, an ostomate who came second in Australian MasterChef, Dr Philippe Fauque (nutritionist) and Maryjane Boaretto Pureza, an ostomate, patient advocate and blogger.

Omnigon did themselves proud and appeared to be the dominant force in the exhibition. They created an exciting open and inviting stand, enthusiastic staff met the nurses, and the daily presentations were well attended.

Katy Martin-Skurr (Nursing Consultant) presented on ‘Pyoderma gangrenosum and the effects of Manuka honey’ to a very well attended stand. The audience seemed very interested by this case and indicated that they thought of patients that could benefit from this immediately.
