Our History
Since our journey began in 1988, Welland Medical has grown from operating at a small kitchen table into a global leader in the ostomy world. What started with a handful of passionate people hand‑making stoma bags has evolved into a global company of 290 colleagues supporting those living with a stoma across all continents.
Even as we’ve grown one thing has never changed: our commitment to enhancing people’s lives, every day. Every product we create, every innovation we pursue, and every partnership we build is driven by the same mission that inspired our founders; helping people live with confidence, comfort, and dignity.
