Welland Medical was delighted to exhibit at the 22nd WCET congress in Malaysia on 15th- 18th April 2018.
Representatives from our marketing, sales and research and development teams travelled to Kuala Lumpur for the biennial congress, which saw medical professionals from around the world meeting to discuss issues and developments in the field of stoma care.

The four-day congress provided us with the perfect opportunity to mark our 30th anniversary with the hundreds of delegates in attendance. Celebrating 30 years of innovation, our exhibition stand showcased some of the ground breaking solutions we have introduced over the years, including flange extenders and the world’s first flushable Closed bag. Visitors to the stand also had the opportunity to discover our most recent innovations including UltraFrame®, the revolutionary alternative to current hydrocolloid based flange extenders.

A workshop presented by Dr Arash Moavenian, Head of Research and Innovation at Welland Medical, which discussed the use of Manuka honey for maintaining peristomal skin health took place on day three of the congress. The workshop, which highlighted our Aurum® range of ostomy products, which come with the added benefit of medical grade Manuka honey in the hydrocolloid, proved popular with the 200+ delegates in the audience.
